"Performance enthusiasts around the world have had a glimpse at what Honda is set to deliver in Europe and Japan with the most extreme Civic that Honda has ever made, the 2016 Civic Type-R.

As we approach the 30th anniversary of the Anna, Ohio engine plant this month, we are incredibly proud to be supplying this new 2.0-liter, direct-injected VTEC Turbo engine to the European Civic Type-R. We are the largest automobile engine plant in the Honda universe, and over the last four years, we have invested more than $800 million dollars in the Anna Engine Plant to make it one of the most advanced engine production facilities in the world. This includes a new engine line for production of the turbo engines that will power the Civic Type-R, as well as a whole new generation of Civics Honda will launch this fall in North America.

Even more critical than these investments in new technology is the passion and challenging spirit that our associates bring each day to the task of advancing Honda quality, efficiency and performance for our customers – both here in North America and in markets around the world. Truly, the associates at the Anna Engine Plant are powering the future of Honda."
